Job Summary:

Merx Global is looking for a Processor to work in our Elk Grove Village Corporate Office. As part of the Recruiting team, your key responsibilities will be to verify candidate application information and examination of various background reports to determine candidate eligibility for hire as a Merx Global Truck Driver.

  • Examination of candidate application with applicant to ensure a complete and compliant application submission to the Company to be considered for hire
  • Conduct background checks for eligible candidates including but not limited to USIS DAC Services, PSP, MVR, and Criminal
  • Thorough and extensive examination of background report documents to determine candidate eligibility for hire
  • Follow-up with Driver Recruiter regarding status of candidate hiring eligibility
  • Follow-up with Driver Candidates to request additional information needed, clarify questionable results from background reports, and/or to clarify differences or omissions in information on application when compared to background reports
  • Update candidate application if needed after review of VOE documents
  • Update TenStreet to show candidate status, reports and other documents received to determine candidate eligibility for hire
  • Enlist assistance from Safety personnel when questionable background report information is received to help determine candidate eligibility for hire
  • Inform Recruiting team in a timely manner of final determination of candidate eligibility for hire
  • Generate weekly report to HR with candidate status updates
  • Cross-train with designated VOE personnel from Safety
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in a professional manner with all levels of office personnel as well as Driver candidates.
  • Ability to examine complex reports to determine hiring eligibility
  • Excellent ability to identify errors or discrepancies when comparing applicant documents and reports
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Objectivity when interpreting information found on background reports.
  • Eye for detail and willingness to dive deep into report detail to make the best determination of candidate eligibility for hire
  • Highly organized initiative-taker with the ability to self-direct and self-prioritize work with the ability to pivot as needed
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and promote a positive workplace culture
  • Office skills including knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel MS Office, and Google platform
  • Degree in transportation or logistics preferred but not required or
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with experience in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry
  • Experience as a Driver Recruiter
  • Ability to compile reports
  • Experience or knowledge with TenStreet, ATS or CRM Systems a plus
  • Experience with auditing or examining data to arrive at an informed decision
  • Experience or knowledge of DOT truck driver requirement
