Dry Van/Reefer Load Planner (Dispatcher)

Job Summary:

Location: Office Sofia, Bulgaria and Office Ruse, Bulgaria

The Load Planner is an experienced, reliable, detail-oriented person with knowledge of transportation and logistics. He/she will be able to work with a group of 10+ drivers to optimize miles and revenue. A minimum of 12 months of booking freight experience working with owner operators and company drivers. Additionally, he/she should be able to communicate effectively, provide shipment updates, and take initiative to identify and handle potential problems.

Takes direction from Team Lead
Effectively plans loads and truck so all dedicated accounts are covered
Communicate with customers and brokers
Plans loads for driver in a matter which will both generate maximum revenue and satisfy driver needs
Meet revenue goals
Book freight from customers and brokers
Ability to apply knowledge of HOS and DOT regulations during the booking process to schedule drivers and freight accordingly
Answering inbound calls and providing solutions to drivers
Responsible for monitoring routes, scheduling pickups/deliveries, and resolving issues along the way
Developing relationships with new shippers to obtain direct freight
Be on time, prompt and prepared daily
Responsible for negotiating rates to maximize profits
Ability to work with owner-operators that are not under forced dispatch
Knowledge of the current market pricing on backhaul and head haul lanes
Checking credit history of potential customers/brokers to determine creditworthiness of the business
Develop relationships with drivers to secure the highest revenue freight and provide them with the type of lanes that they prefer to run

12 months experience with an asset-based over the road motor carrier and booking freight on the spot market
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge and Abilities
Fluent English speaking and writing skills, additional languages a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to dissolve disputes through knowledge of company operations and rules
Exceptional customer service skills
Knowledge of the United States geographical area
Excellent multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills
Knowledge in McLeod Transportation Management System preferred, not required
Familiar with PC Miler, DAT, Mitel/Shoretel, Omnitracs preferred, but not required
Highly proficient with Gmail, Gchat, CRM tools and Microsoft Products required
Know-how with HOS and DOT regulations
Ability to uphold the highest ethical standards when performing the job
Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
Positive, collaborative, flexible, can-do attitude
Capability in a fast-paced, competitive setting
Open minded with proven track record of solving difficult and stressful situations
Experience with handling a high volume of phone calls and emails
